Emily Burton is originally from Vernon and received her Bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Victoria, studying with Pamela Highbaugh-Aloni. Later Emily attended UBC to study pharmacy, and now she works as a pharmacist and continues to play cello as much as she can. Emily received the Early Music Vancouver Scholarship for the 2018-19 season. She joined the Baroque Orchestra Mentorship Programme at UBC this September because she loves baroque music and her husband seemed to enjoy it a lot.
